Join Us for Our Next Giveback Tuesday Event on May 25th!

Get ready to make a difference in your community while enjoying incredible homemade Italian food! Our next Giveback Tuesday event will be on May 25th at our Rock Hill location! This month, we will be donating money to Peter & Paul Community Services (PPCS), an ecumenical agency that provides housing and supportive services to people who are homeless – especially those who experience mental illness or live with HIV.

Each month, we’re proud to feature a local nonprofit organization and donate 100% of earned proceeds from the entire day to the selected charity. Lunch, dinner, drinks, and carryout are all included. So far, Katie’s Pizza & Pasta Osteria has donated $251,769 to nonprofit organizations here in St. Louis!

The COVID-19 pandemic caused PPCS to shut down all of their volunteer activities. Losing their volunteers has caused a significant increase in their food and staffing costs; our donation will help offset this loss! PPCS’s volunteers were in charge of preparing and serving meals for their Community Meals program, where they serve up to 200 men, women, and children each evening. They would also normally help serve up to 60 men each night at their Soulard Shelter.

PPCS, who will be celebrating their 40th anniversary in November, offers seven programs in their effort to end homelessness in St. Louis, including Community Meals and the Soulard Shelter. Their other programs include:

  • Positive Directions – This program provides transitional housing and supportive services for men and women living with HIV/AIDS.
  • The Benedict Joseph Labre Center – This center serves men and women living with a mental illness.
  • Garfield Place Apartments – This is a supportive housing program for men and women who have been diagnosed with a severe mental illness and who are either experiencing homelessness or facing the risk of homelessness.
  • The St. Louis Roadies – This is a street soccer club for men and women in St. Louis who are homeless, formerly homeless, or newly arrived to the United States as political refugees and/or immigrants.
  • The Community CollabARTive – This is an art and art process program that meets on a weekly basis to empower participants to find their own voice.

Through their meals, shelter, and housing programs, PPCS served 1,386 individuals in 2020, and they are hoping to resume typical volunteer activities soon! To learn more about PPCS, please visit www.ppcsinc.org. Want more information about volunteering at PPCS? Please contact Kati Hoffman at kbhoffman@ppcsinc.org!

Katie’s Pizza & Pasta Osteria is open from Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. -10 p.m. and Friday through Saturday from 11 a.m. - 11 p.m. Our Rock Hill’s dining room remains open at 50% capacity for lunch and dinner hours. Curbside pickup and limited patio service will also be available. To order curbside pickup, please visit www.katiespizzaandpasta.com.

Remember, friends: 100% of earned profits will directly benefit PPCS and their cause! So, bring your family along and join us for our Giveback Tuesday event on May 25th at our Rock Hill location. We hope to see you there!
