Mark Your Calendars for Giveback Tuesday on September 28!

Our next Giveback Tuesday event will take place at our Rock Hill location on September 28th. Proceeds from this day will be dedicated to Care and Counseling, a nonprofit, interfaith counseling center serving the St. Louis area.

Just like every month, we have chosen a worthy nonprofit to receive 100% of the entire day’s proceeds. So far, Katie’s Pizza & Pasta Osteria has donated $284,354 to local nonprofit organizations.

What are the funds used for?

The funds raised on this Giveback Tuesday will be used to help provide affordable mental health services for those who are uninsured and/or having financial constraints. “Care and Counseling is honored to be chosen as the September Giveback charity,” says Executive Director, Laurie Phillips. “Our ability to provide affordable services is reliant on fundraisers such as this. We ask the community to please come out and support us by dining for mental health.”

About Care and Counseling

Serving the St. Louis area since 1968, Care and Counseling helps an on average 1,500 people every year. Currently, their largest program is providing high-quality affordable therapy services for clients of all ages. For them, the most gratifying thing about their organization is its ability to help individuals, regardless of ability to pay, receive needed mental health services that are often life-changing, even lifesaving.

Care and Counseling would also like to point out the emotional toll that the pandemic has brought on. Fundraising opportunities like this help sustain and grow their ability to remove the financial barrier to receiving services that so many people need.

It’s important to know that we’re living through unprecedented times right now and some people might need more help coping with what life has to throw at us. For many of us, the past couple of years have turned our worlds upside down and inside out. As a community, this is our chance to show up and support those who need it. For 53 years that’s exactly what Care and Counseling has been doing, and everyone at Katie’s (and a part of the Katie’s community) can help them achieve their mission of creating a happier, healthier world.

There’s a lot to be excited about this month. We opened our Ballpark Village location with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 22, our third and biggest location with nearly 10,000 sq. ft. It’s located on Clark Ave, across the street from Gate 4 at Busch Stadium. We’re also now donating twice a month to a local nonprofit. Nonprofits that join the Giveback Tuesday program through the Ballpark Village location will be unique, with a focus on giving back to the city of St. Louis and youth sports programs.
