It’s time to circle October 25 on your calendars! Our next Giveback Tuesday event is at our Town and Country location, and you won’t want to miss it! The profits will be donated to KidSmart, a nonprofit organization that provides underprivileged students in St. Louis area schools with school supplies.
Each month, we’re proud to feature a local nonprofit charity and donate 100% of the earned proceeds from the entire day to the organization. Lunch, dinner, drinks, and carryout are all included. So far, Katie’s Pizza & Pasta Osteria has donated $337,851 to nonprofit organizations here in St. Louis.
Funds raised from this Giveback Tuesday event will go toward distributing free school supplies and providing free educational resources. KidSmart’s most needed supplies are crayons, glue, markers, notebooks, and pencils. Every $35 equips a student in need with a backpack filled with supplies.
KidSmart, founded in 2002, is the only free educational supply store in Missouri. They distribute $125,000 in free school supplies to students weekly and equip 75,000 students with free school supplies each school year.
Their programs include Push for Pencils, the largest back-to-school supply drive in Missouri, and the On the Go! mobile program, in which a truck takes their services on the road and to classrooms.
