Join Katie’s Pizza for Our 2024 February Giveback Tuesday on February 27!

Katie’s Pizza & Pasta Osteria welcomes anyone and everyone for our 2024 February Giveback Tuesday event on February 27th! These events are a fantastic way for our Katie’s Pizza family to reach out to our beloved communities and for community members to come together for a meaningful cause. This month, the entire day’s sales from each Katie’s Pizza location are going toward nonprofits Coeur Academy, the St. Louis Area Diaper Bank, and the Wyman Center.

The giveback event’s funds will help the donees fulfill their missions of creating an education environment that works for every student, ending diaper need and period hygiene product poverty, and empowering economically disadvantaged teens to live successful lives.

Katie’s Pizza’s Giveback Initiative

Once a month, Katie’s Pizza & Pasta Osteria hosts a Giveback Tuesday, where the restaurant donates 100% of the day’s profits from each of its three locations in Ballpark Village, Rock Hill, and Town & Country to three local nonprofit organizations. So far, Katie’s Pizza & Pasta Osteria has donated $415,090 to St. Louis-area charities.

Coeur Academy and its Accommodating Learning Environment

For the past decade, Coeur Academy has dedicated itself to providing academic, learning, and development environments that naturally accommodate each student and their specific needs. To enhance a child’s social, life, and job skill development, the nonprofit prioritizes small-group learning environments throughout its various services, including:

  • The Academic School Program
  • Private Music Lessons
  • Social Learning Groups
  • Summer Camp
  • Tutoring

Coeur Academy is using the Giveback Tuesday funds to support the families who qualify for financial aid, allowing the organization to help ensure every child thrives and reaches their academic, emotional, and social goals so they can lead lives as confidently and independently as possible.

The St. Louis Diaper Area Bank vs. Diaper Need and Period Poverty

Since April 2014, the St. Louis Area Diaper Bank has been actively serving the St. Louis region, committed to its mission of building healthier communities by eliminating diaper need and period poverty through hygiene product access, education, and advocacy.

A donation of just $25 can supply a baby for six months. The nonprofit is using the Katie’s Pizza fundraiser funds to supplement the organization’s budget for bulk diaper purchases at discounted rates, ensuring sustained support for families in need. Just in 2023 alone, The St. Louis Area Diaper Bank provided nearly 3.2 million diapers to over 63,000 children and their caregivers, and it can’t wait to launch itself into its second decade of diaper and period product distribution and education with the donation from Katie’s Pizza.

The Wyman Center and its Drive to Help Youth Succeed and Thrive

Since its establishment in 1898, The Wyman Center has remained committed to its mission in the St. Louis area. Today, the nonprofit comprises a network of experts who help empower teens and young adults from economically disadvantaged circumstances to reach their fullest potential, lead successful lives, and build strong communities. The nonprofit will use the funds to help support its various programs, the upkeep of its 80-plus acre campground, and the continuous research needed to meet the changing needs of the young people it serves.

From its 125 years of experience and extensive research, the Wyman Center has curated its operations strategy to help teens thrive personally and professionally by supporting educational success, life and leadership skills, and healthy behaviors and relationships. To ensure that teens receive the equitable opportunities they need to reach their full potential, Wyman strives to:

  • Empower teens with robust, high-quality programs that provide the skills and tools needed to succeed.
  • Equip adults with training on how to build relationships with teens via engaging and inspiring learning environments.
  • Strengthen systems through deep, collaborative partnerships that generate more equitable and transformative opportunities for youth.
