Here Comes Our July Giveback Tuesday!

Join Katie’s Pizza & Pasta Osteria this July 26 at our Rock Hill location for our Giveback Tuesday event!

This month we will be donating 100% of our profits from the day to The Fit and Food Connection, a nonprofit that offers people living in food and fitness deserts access to free nutritious food, physical activities, educational workshops, and personal coaching to encourage and support healthy living.

Katies Pizza’s Giveback Initiative

Each month, we’re proud to feature a local nonprofit charity and donate 100% of the earned proceeds from the entire day to the organization. Lunch, dinner, drinks, and carryout are all included. So far, Katie’s Pizza & Pasta Osteria has donated $328,500 to nonprofit organizations here in St. Louis!

The Fit and Food Connection

The funds raised by Katie’s Pizza will support The Fit and Food Connection’s capacity-building efforts, as they are working determinedly to expand their programming to more community members.

Founded in 2013, The Fit and Food Connection helps more than 800 community members stay healthy yearly! The Fit and Food Connection serves the St. Louis community by utilizing its Food Access and Wellness programs.

The Food Access Program includes their Organic Garden located at 4846 Saint Louis Avenue, which produces 3,000 pounds of produce annually. This Garden also acts as a learning space for their Kids Club and provides food for their Food Assistance and Delivery Service, which delivers healthy food to families every Sunday afternoon.

The Wellness Program consists of regular Group Fit classes that bring various fun and unique fitness offerings, Group Nutrition classes that provide nutrition education resources, and one-on-one personalized fitness and nutrition consultations that include grocery shopping education, food prep and planning, and fitness instruction.

When asked what the most gratifying thing their organization does, a spokesperson from The Fit and Food Connection mentioned, “The most gratifying part about our work is seeing community members become empowered along their health journey by utilizing our resources to become healthier, happier versions of themselves!”

There’s a lot to be excited about this month. We opened our Ballpark Village location with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 22, our third and biggest location with nearly 10,000 sq. ft. It’s located on Clark Ave, across the street from Gate 4 at Busch Stadium. We’re also now donating twice a month to a local nonprofit. Nonprofits that join the Giveback Tuesday program through the Ballpark Village location will be unique, with a focus on giving back to the city of St. Louis and youth sports programs.
