Our next Giveback Tuesday has been set for July 28! This time, we are raising money for Places for People, an organization dedicated to helping individuals affected by mental illness.
Places for People strives to help these individuals toward a healthy lifestyle that positively contributes to their overall well-being. Their well-trained and dedicated staff is focused on helping individuals reach their personal goals while leading them toward a meaningful life. A professional staff ensures that only the best quality care is administered to those being served by Places for People.
Places for People typically focuses on individuals whose mental illness drives them toward substance abuse disorders, chronic homelessness, and other traumas. Their focus on “Housing First” places these individuals in housing as the first step toward freedom from mental illness. Offering a wide variety of services, Places for People helps individuals from all age groups, demographics, and backgrounds. Their mission statement, “Provide caring, effective services to help those with the greatest challenges recover from mental illness and associated chronic illness,” drives everything they do to help those who need it the most.
Giveback Tuesday is an event that we here at Katie’s Pizza & Pasta are really passionate about. We believe this is an amazing opportunity to connect with the community and give back to local organizations that do so much for our community. We started #GivebackTuesday in July 2014 and have donated more than $31,000 to local STL non-profit charities.

Our upcoming Giveback Tuesday event will take place on August 27, and you won’t want to miss it! We are donating the day’s profits to Donald Danforth Plant Science Center, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and the Harris House.
