There are currently more than 1,000 homeless in the city of St. Louis. It’s hard to imagine living in a shelter and going to sleep with 100+ strangers in the room. With the colder weather approaching, it’s even harder to imagine not having a roof over your head.
Thankfully, Gateway 180 is working diligently to reverse homelessness. Not only do they provide warm beds at their emergency shelter, but they also provide supportive housing services to help these adults and families gain independence and find permanent housing.
You can help these families just by eating at Katie’s Pizza & Pasta Osteria on Tuesday, October 28. One-hundred percent of the profits from everything, and we mean everything (lunch, dinner, drinks and carryout), will be donated to Gateway 180.
Thanks to our generous customers, we’ve been able to donate a combined $6,000 to area nonprofits in the past three months! In July our guests helped us raise $2,900 for Operation Food Search. Friends of Wings received $2,200 in August. Last month we were able to donate $1,900 to Microfinancing Partners in Africa.
We truly hope you can join us to help this great charity. If you have any questions, please call us at 314.942.6555 or visit us online at http://katiespizzaandpasta.com/. For additional information about Gateway 180, please visit http://www.gateway180.org/.
Our upcoming Giveback Tuesday event will take place on August 27, and you won’t want to miss it! We are donating the day’s profits to Donald Danforth Plant Science Center, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and the Harris House.
Let’s come together and help these charities fulfill their respective missions of improving the human condition through plant science, treating and defeating childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases, and helping people reconnect with their lives by disconnecting with drug and alcohol addiction.
Our upcoming Giveback Tuesday event will take place on July 23, and you won’t want to miss it! We are donating the day’s profits to Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis (BGCSTL), Gateway180, and the St. Augustine Wellston Center.
Let’s come together and help these charities fulfill their missions of inspiring youth to realize their full potential, empowering individuals to become permanently housed, and providing lower-income people with nutritious food.
