Katie’s Pizza & Pasta Osteria is at it again, and this time we are partnering with Katie’s brother, Tommy Lee, the owner and operator of Slide Piece Food Truck, for a special Pizza Takeover event! The event will take place starting September 12th and ending September 17th. We will be featuring a fried green tomato pizza, which comprises of stracciatella, calabrese, pepperoncini, basil, balsamic, and arugula.
This is Katie’s first time collaborating with her brother (aside from those egg and cheese sandwiches they created when they were kids). Tommy and Katie dreamed up the idea of creating their very own fried green tomato pizza, which was inspired by Katie’s incredible caprese salad!
Tommy has owned Slide Piece Food Truck for almost a year and typically stops around all of the Greater St. Louis region, including BJC, City Garden, office parks, city and county parks, military bases, and at private events. They are the only food truck that provides gourmet sliders throughout the city, and they focus on providing a seasonal and sustainable product to various venues throughout St. Louis. Before Slide Piece, Tommy managed a couple of progressive restaurants, which influenced his culinary style, especially Root Down & Linger in Denver. He also has a long history working with nationally recognized restaurants not only in St. Louis but also in Denver, Wisconsin, and Alaska.

Our upcoming Giveback Tuesday event will take place on July 23, and you won’t want to miss it! We are donating the day’s profits to Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis (BGCSTL), Gateway180, and the St. Augustine Wellston Center.
