Help Bilingual International Assistant Services on Nov 22!

Get ready to make a difference in your community while enjoying delicious, handmade Italian food! Our upcoming Giveback Tuesday event will take place at our Rock Hill location on November 22 and support Bilingual International Assistant Services. This nonprofit organization provides multilingual social, mental health, and educational support services in the St. Louis area.

Each month, we’re proud to feature a local nonprofit charity and donate 100% of the earned proceeds from the entire day to the organization. Lunch, dinner, drinks, and carryout are all included. So far, Katie’s Pizza & Pasta Osteria has donated $340,046.58 to nonprofit organizations here in St. Louis.

Funds raised from this Giveback Tuesday event will go toward the nonprofit’s case management for Project Safe Space. This trauma-focused mental health service empowers immigrant and refugee children by equipping them with self-regulation skills, coping skills, and a better understanding of their emotions and needs.

Bilingual International Assistant Services, founded in 2002 by refugee women, serves more than 3,000 people in over 40 languages annually. To meet community needs, the organization offers the services below.

  • Advocacy and Education Services – The nonprofit provides speakers and training to local agencies and businesses.
  • Immigration and Naturalization Services – The nonprofit is a Department of Justice accredited agency able to offer naturalization services and represent clients before the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
  • Language Services – Contracted professional interpreters representing over 40 commonly used languages provide trusted interpretation and translation services.
  • Macklind International Senior Center – At Missouri’s first dedicated multicultural senior center, seniors enjoy socialization, quarterly outings, and accessible education.
  • Mental Health Services – Licensed professional therapists, many multilingual, bring many years of experience working with the unique stress and trauma of immigrants and refugees.
  • Naturalization Services for Elderly Legal Immigrants and Refugees – Seniors over 60 with at least 5 years of Missouri residency receive tutoring, filing support, case management, legal assistance, representation at USCIS, interpretation as necessary, and Medicare counseling.
  • Social Services – Trained multilingual community access workers offer culturally specific and language-appropriate services that improve the quality of life for underserved St. Louis communities.
