Put a Smile on a Child’s Face This Giveback Tuesday!

Get ready to bring a little more joy to local children’s lives in a few short weeks! Mark your calendars for our next Giveback Tuesday event on August 28, which will take place at our Town & Country location. This month, Give Kids a Smile will benefit.

Every month, we are proud to feature a local nonprofit charity and donate 100% of the earned proceeds from the entire day to the charity. Lunch, dinner, drinks, and carryout are all included. So far, we’ve donated more than $175,000 to local nonprofit organizations.

Funds raised from this Giveback Tuesday event will benefit part of GKAS’s biannual dental clinics.

Established in 2004, GKAS is a non-profit organization working to eliminate the silent epidemic of dental disease for underserved children who cannot sleep, eat properly, pay attention in school, or simply smile. The organization brings caring dental professionals, volunteers, and other local groups together to deliver free, quality dental services and oral health education to children in an effort to improve their smiles.

Twice a year, GKAS hosts dental clinics, which provide free dental work to children ages 12 months to 14 years who live at or below the poverty line and don’t have private dental insurance. At each of these clinics, the organization ends each child’s visit by providing a healthy lunch to take with them.

“Currently, the money for the lunches is taken from our clinic budget. The funds raised from this Giveback Tuesday will help us spend the allotted funds differently and help us continue putting smiles on these children’s faces,” said Erica Steen, Executive Director of GKAS.

GKAS helps between 700 and 1,000 children with direct dental work each year. Another 2,000 to 3,000 children are supplied with new toothbrushes and toothpaste as well as dental education to help them maintain better oral hygiene at home.

“It’s amazing to see the look on a child’s face when they have a broken tooth fixed or when the pain from a cavity is eliminated,” said Steen. We help them eat better, sleep better, and gain more self-esteem, which is so important in a child’s life.”

Please join us at our Town & Country location to support GKAS. Remember: 100% of the net profits from the entire day will be donated, so bring your family and friends for a fun night filled with delicious food!

Please call us at (636) 220-3238 with any questions or visit us online at www.katiespizzaandpasta.com. Be sure to read more about GKAS (or sign up to become a volunteer!) by visiting www.givekidsasmile.org.

We hope to see you on August 28 at our location in Town & Country!

There’s a lot to be excited about this month. We opened our Ballpark Village location with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 22, our third and biggest location with nearly 10,000 sq. ft. It’s located on Clark Ave, across the street from Gate 4 at Busch Stadium. We’re also now donating twice a month to a local nonprofit. Nonprofits that join the Giveback Tuesday program through the Ballpark Village location will be unique, with a focus on giving back to the city of St. Louis and youth sports programs.
