MARK YOUR CALENDARS AND SUPPORT GOTR-STL THIS FEBRUARY 22!

It’s time to circle February 22 on your calendars! Our next Giveback Tuesday event will be at our Town and Country location, and you won’t want to miss it! This month, we are partnering with Girls on the Run St. Louis (GOTR-STL), a nonprofit organization that inspires girls to lead joyful, healthy, and confident lives through an experience-based curriculum that creatively integrates running.

Each month, we’re proud to feature a local nonprofit charity and donate 100% of the earned proceeds from the entire day to the organization. Lunch, dinner, drinks, and carryout are all included. So far, Katie’s Pizza & Pasta Osteria has donated $297,725 to nonprofit organizations here in St. Louis.

Funds raised from this Giveback Tuesday event will go toward funding GOTR-STL’s scholarships. The goal is to make the program open to all girls who want to participate, regardless of their financial status. Families can request financial assistance if they are unable to pay for registration fees. In the past year, the nonprofit provided more than $365,000 in scholarships.

By joining the Girls on the Run curriculum, girls are motivated to become independent thinkers, enhance their problem-solving skills, and make healthy decisions.  A variety of lessons are taught over a 10-week period while the girls prepare for a 5k, now the largest timed 5k in St. Louis. Topics include:

  • Self-care and self-awareness (Weeks 1-4)
  • Selecting healthy relationships and keeping them healthy (Weeks 5-7)
  • Celebrating and sharing their strengths (Weeks 8-10)

Girls on the Run St. Louis was founded in 2002 by Jill Indovino. The program is now in more than 400 schools across 23 counties in Missouri and Illinois, and GOTR-STL is one of the largest councils in North America. The nonprofit is proud to have helped over 2,300 girls in 2021 and over 65,000 girls since the beginning.

Be sure to mark your calendars for our Giveback Tuesday event this month! 100% of earned profits will be benefiting Girls on the Run St. Louis and supporting the great work they do. Katie’s Pizza & Pasta Osteria is open from Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. - 10 p.m. and Friday through Saturday from 11 a.m. - 11 p.m. To make a dinner reservation or order curbside pickup, please visit www.katiespizzaandpasta.com. See you in Town and Country on February 22!
