January Giveback Tuesday – Gateway180

Our next Giveback Tuesday has a special date: Thursday, January 21. For January’s Giveback we will be featuring Gateway180’s dine out night!

Gateway180 is the largest 24-hour emergency housing organization in Missouri that provides a safe, nurturing environment for women, children, and families experiencing the unimaginable burden of homelessness. They design their services to empower adults and families to become independent and permanently housed. We are hosting Gateway180’s Feast 4 Families, which is an event where area establishments join together to serve thousands of families.

Giveback Tuesday is an event that we are really passionate about. We believe this is an amazing opportunity to connect with the community and give back to local organizations that do so much for our community. We started #GivebackTuesday in July 2014 and have donated over $44,000 to local STL non-profit charities.

Join Us on February 23 for Our Giveback Tuesday Event!

This month’s Giveback Tuesday is February 23rd, featuring Mid-County YMCA.

 

Mid-County YMCA strengthens the community as a whole by focusing on character building and creating self-confidence and a sense of belonging through sports and activities. The YMCA is committed to ensuring that everyone who wants to be a part of the Y has the opportunity. Proceeds from this fundraiser will go to help those in the service area who cannot afford the programs and services that the Y provides such as swimming lessons, sports, group exercise, child care, and much more. 

 

Giveback Tuesday is an event that we are very passionate about. Congratulations to Katie Collier on Making the 40 Under 40 Class of 2016!

The St. Louis Business Journal just announced their 40 Under 40 Class of 2016. After receiving nearly 650 nominations for the award, they selected 40 winners, including Chef/Co-Owner Katie Collier! Katie and the winners will be honored at the 40 Under 40 Awards Dinner on Thursday, February 18 at the Chase Park Plaza.

 

Katie and her husband Ted started Katie’s Pizza & Pasta Osteria in 2013 and haven’t slowed down. Since then, Katie has been giving back to the community through her Giveback Tuesday events, collaborating with local restaurants, competing in televised cooking shows, and most recently started a test event of do-it-yourself pizza kits that get mailed to your door!

 

The class of 2016 is an outstanding group of business professionals in various industries throughout the Greater St. Louis region. Each year, they select 40 people under the age of 40 who have demonstrated make a real difference in the workplace and in the community at large.

March’s Giveback Tuesday Will Feature Leukemia and Lymphoma Society on March 29th

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is the largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding research, finding cures, and ensuring access to treatments for blood cancer patients. Leukemia is the #1 disease killer among children. All funds raised in St. Louis stay within St. Louis for the benefit of children with blood cancers and their families.

This particular Giveback Tuesday supports Michelle Jordan-Berndt’s campaign to win the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Woman of the Year Campaign. Jordan-Berndt will be competing with several other local candidates to be the top fundraiser to honor two courageous children, Bryce and Candice. The team’s goal is to raise $50,000. We hope to help them meet their goal!

Every month Katie’s Pizza & Pasta Osteria features a local nonprofit charity and donates 100 percent of the earned proceeds from the entire day to the charity. Lunch, dinner, drinks, and carryout are all included. To date, Katie’s Pizza & Pasta Osteria has raised over $50,000 for local charities.
